This One Thing Will KILL You

Fear. The final frontier. A place that many men and women opt not to explore. Why? Well that’s simple. The unknown can produce some serious anxiety. Think about it, if you could choose between a safe place and not knowing what was gonna happen, which would you go for? Exactly…

You see fear is a funny thing broham. It can teach you lessons about what to avoid, but at the same time, it can also lead you away from those things that will also help you grow as a person. It’s a conundrum really. I mean if you’re not paying attention, you might find yourself in a constant state of stagnation because you’ve let your fears run wild.

Fear is a hard thing to deal with. Biologically, it’s prolonged presence literally does kill you. (Gives new meaning to the phrase “scared to death,” right?) You might be one of 70% of Americans that report feeling stressed on a daily basis and that’s one of the main reasons for the decline in our life expectancy.

But Isn’t It What I Eat?

It’s not Twinkies, it’s not fast food, it’s stress and most of it is coming from the fear we have everyday about living an authentic life. You’re afraid to be yourself because you’re afraid that people will judge you. Maybe it’s your parents, or your friends, or even your spouse. But the most important thing to remember is that it’s not what’s going on outside that matters.

What you have going on between your left and right ears is the cause to many of your problems. But it’s not your fault, your parents and the people around you when you were younger didn’t know better. They taught you the same tactics and strategies they had for coping with fear and stress. Where the problem lies, is that many of those strategies are ineffective.

I want you to consider however, that there is a way to conquer fear and make it your bitch. There is a way to use fear instead of letting it use you. Because you have been so programmed to believe that you should just follow all the rules it may seem like fear is a natural thing that lets you know when you’ve gone to far, but this is not the case and I want to prove it to you.

Unfortunately, I can’t do it today, I’m outta time. I’ll tell you what though. If you leave a comment below, I promise to respond (unless it’s spam) Otherwise you can shoot me a message HERE

P.S.  Some people might read this and say that fear is helpful for them and I would agree. In certain cases, rational fear is your ultimate ally. You feel a little funny about jumping out of a plane with no parachute? That’s pretty rational. But it’s the irrational fears that prevent you from getting that good stuff from life. Talk soon…
