I’m sorry, I’m going there today.
Yeah I know, I might piss off some of myÂ
Better Body Buddies…
But, you had to know that I was coming around toÂ
This sometime or another.
Ok let me fill you in.
So, about 2-3 years back I was one of those personal trainers
Pedaling his supplements.
Yeah I know, you may have even been the target of some of my marketing.
I hit it hard you know.Â
Emailing everyone I knew, telling them about this awesome new product
I was texting people I hadn’t talked to in ages
Setting up meetings with people I knew I had no business meeting with.
All in the name of hustle.
Sure I took the supplements and they worked…kinda.
But at the end of the day, no matter how tight the business plan
I just couldn’t stick with it.
Why you ask?Â
Well broseph, I didn’t know it at the time, but it goes against everything
I stand for as a trainer.Â
And it’s not for the reasons you’d think
The thing is, the culture it promoted
Was like instafix on coke.
Sure they had a meal plan and the supplements were legit
But the thing is that at the end of the day it’s just another blanket treatment
We give to nuanced issues that we don’t take the time to understand
Like when the trainer with all the tattoos and earrings tells you that you need to
Do more cardio and cut carbs to lose weight
I would have you consider that the people that have the most knowledge
The most pearls of wisdom are the ones that didn’t take the obvious short cut.
People have the tendency to look for the quick fix or the easy way
That’s why books like the 4 Hour Workweek got so popular
And that’s not a bad thing, I mean it’s in our DNA to search for the
Path of least resistance, but we have to fight that urge of wanting
To ALWAYS shorten the route.Â
I along with my team, have developed a program that can help you
Discover the inspiration for your actions and help you direct them
Towards consistent progress towards a stronger, healthier you.
The General Fitness Program is more than just pushups and squats
We’re a program designed to get you physically, spiritually, and emotionally fit.

Jerry “Sorry Yoli” Washington
P.S. I just want to make it clear that I’m not hating on Yoli as a company.
They believe they are doing something good for people and I have seen countless
People change their lives while using their products.Â
The problem is when you start creating a culture that promotes living anÂ
Unhealthy lifestyle and relying on pills and powders to “clean up” your mess.Â
The beauty is in the journey, not the destination. Just something to think aboutÂ
till tomorrow. Talk soon…
