I’ve been a trainer and coach for many people over my 10+ year career and I’ve noticed that it seems that your words and thoughts dominate your reality. Now, I know you’re probably saying that this is woo-woo type stuff here, but hear me out brochacho.
The reason why we have regret is to learn a lesson. If we don’t learn the lesson, then we will continue to regret. You see, regret is simply a lesson that we have yet to learn. However, when you focus on the past, then you decrease your ability to impact your future. So it’s kind of a double-edged sword if you don’t deal with regret.
Okay, broseph, I totally get it. Fear of the unknown is a real thing, but you know what’s also real? Regret. The question remains, however, if fear ultimately leads to regret, then why do so many people still(!) put off doing things that they know they want to do?
