Happy Monday Motha Fu….

Monday Motivation

It’s Monday, you gotta lot of stuff to do, so I’m gonna make this one quick.

A lot of people dread Monday because they have to get back on the grind. But the reason why you dread the week is mostly because of fear.  Fear that giving your best will make people make fun of you. You’re afraid that if you give 100%, it still might not be enough to get to your goals. You afraid of feeling like you’re not doing the right thing, so you’d rather do nothing at all rather than risk someone seeing you fail.

I get it, but you don’t have to let it be that way. The key to actively setting yourself apart from everyone else doing and feeling the same way about Mondays is to NOT do and think like everyone else does. Instead of hiding Monday through Thursday try to make an attempt to make yourself more visible, step even further outside the status quo. Be an active participant in your own destiny.

Once you’ve started to do that, then you can get some help by having an accountability partner. I don’t have all the answer, but I can keep you accountable. I’ve been doing it for years with my personal training and the same thing will work for you in your life. Everyone needs some help, Kobe had Shaq. Jordan had Pippen, Sherlock had Holmes. Who do you have?

This One Thing Will KILL You

Fear, ignorance

Fear. The final frontier. A place that many men and women opt not to explore. Why? Well that’s simple. The unknown can produce some serious anxiety. Think about it, if you could choose between a safe place and not knowing what was gonna happen, which would you go for? Exactly…

You see fear is a funny thing broham. It can teach you lessons about what to avoid, but at the same time, it can also lead you away from those things that will also help you grow as a person. It’s a conundrum really. I mean if you’re not paying attention, you might find yourself in a constant state of stagnation because you’ve let your fears run wild.

Fear is a hard thing to deal with. Biologically, it’s prolonged presence literally does kill you. (Gives new meaning to the phrase “scared to death,” right?) You might be one of 70% of Americans that report feeling stressed on a daily basis and that’s one of the main reasons for the decline in our life expectancy.

But Isn’t It What I Eat?

It’s not Twinkies, it’s not fast food, it’s stress and most of it is coming from the fear we have everyday about living an authentic life. You’re afraid to be yourself because you’re afraid that people will judge you. Maybe it’s your parents, or your friends, or even your spouse. But the most important thing to remember is that it’s not what’s going on outside that matters.

What you have going on between your left and right ears is the cause to many of your problems. But it’s not your fault, your parents and the people around you when you were younger didn’t know better. They taught you the same tactics and strategies they had for coping with fear and stress. Where the problem lies, is that many of those strategies are ineffective.

I want you to consider however, that there is a way to conquer fear and make it your bitch. There is a way to use fear instead of letting it use you. Because you have been so programmed to believe that you should just follow all the rules it may seem like fear is a natural thing that lets you know when you’ve gone to far, but this is not the case and I want to prove it to you.

Unfortunately, I can’t do it today, I’m outta time. I’ll tell you what though. If you leave a comment below, I promise to respond (unless it’s spam) Otherwise you can shoot me a message HERE

P.S.  Some people might read this and say that fear is helpful for them and I would agree. In certain cases, rational fear is your ultimate ally. You feel a little funny about jumping out of a plane with no parachute? That’s pretty rational. But it’s the irrational fears that prevent you from getting that good stuff from life. Talk soon…

Fear = Dishonor

Fear is a mountain

There are so many things out there that we don’t understand. I for one, could not figure out how to use Google analytics for the life of me. So yesterday I sat down, determined to figure out what in the world I could do to understand all those numbers and abbreviations. And what it added up to was fear…

Let me fill you in on what I mean. After about an hour, I came across something amazing. I found that I had quite a few people going to my site, but I was quickly disappointed when I went followed the links to where they went.

You see, I came across four (4) blogs around the world that were pretty much using this blog for fodder. They would read what I wrote, put my words down and then throw their own spin on it.

The thing is, I’m not upset that when people copy. In fact, I’m honored, the problem is that these people didn’t even approach me. And it’s not really even that, the real issue is why…

You see the reason WHY I write these DAILY blogs is to reach out to people. I want us to discuss issues that affect us all. I am reaching out because I would like to start a conversation about these subjects. It’s not for you to read and then go on about your way.

So lurkers. plagiarists, and all you first time visitors, listen up! I’m not mad, (it takes a lot more than that) but I want you to consider something. The only reason why we dishonor ourselves or anyone else is not because we are bad people set on sucking whatever value possible from whomever. No it’s not because we are bad, but it’s because of fear.

Fear of putting your OWN voice out there.

Of what people will think

That you just might not be good enough

But honestly, broham the longer you project something you’re not the longer you will live in fear. So if you truly want to make a difference in the world with your words and your thoughts, make sure that they are genuinely your own.
