You Only Have Perspective

As a military brat, I’ve been privy to a lot of things that civilians might not necessary be exposed to, but access to the best mental health professionals is not one you would think of immediately.

But when you think about it, with all those families moving and wars being fought you gotta talk to someone right???

Well, before I moved up to Alaska to finish off high school, I had talked to one of those aforementioned health professionals and the advice I got is probably some of the most useful advice I’ve gotten to this day. In fact, it’s so useful that I’m kind of ashamed that I haven’t revealed this sooner as many of my clients and friends could use this advice with their own families.

You see there are many people that experience pain from not being present. If you don’t know what I mean, consider this: you’re somewhere swimming in a beautiful ocean, but you can’t stop wondering if you left the iron on at home. Presence is key to understanding your feelings and enjoying the moment.

You might relate to this if you’ve got a family but also have a job. For some, it’s a constant juggling act both physically and emotional as it pertains to spending time at work or with your family.

But here’s the answer! If you’ve ever beat yourself up or feel guilty about leaving either work or home you’re gonna wanna read this life “hack.”

The thing is that when you are feeling guilty, you cut yourself off from any possibility of change. It’s with that possibility you can feel remorse and actually have the ability to go back and observe your feelings so that you can think of ways you can communicate them.

And here’s the real world application. As I was moving up to Alaska I had this terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that wasn’t relieved until I actually told my friends, family, and anyone who would listen, that I didn’t want to move and that I truly had fun getting to know them.

That was it, that’s all it takes brozilla. Don’t push your feelings down, because they never get dealt with. All that causes is anxiety that feeds guilt. And that guilt goes on to feed more anxiety.

Keep those feelings on the surface. Be aware of them, express them and let people know because they might be feeling the same thing and you just might turn out to be a hero because everyone else was thinking the same thing, but didn’t have the wherewithal to speak up.

So in short, be a hero by being aware of your own feelings and making it a priority to express them.

Did He Die For Aliens Too???

I’ve been meditating pretty consistently for about a year now.

It’s done wonders for my focus and helps with my ability to

Maintain my frame when things don’t go exactly as planned.

The other day when I was meditating, this question kept

Popping up in my mind:

Did Jesus die for the aliens?
You see, in the old story about Jesus’s death

We are to assume that he died for all of humanity.

But then we are left with questions about the followers of

Other religions, dogs, or like said before, aliens.

I know it may sound a little abstract, but  it really boils down

To one thing, sometimes you simply don’t know what you don’t know.
But think about it, in 200 years, what will we say about
The times that we live in now?

Will we say our way of thinking was barbaric?

I want to invite you to a new way of thinking

A way that leads you away from the belief that we

Should all do as we’re told and to believe what they say.

Sure, “they” aren’t all bad, they got us this far right?

But as Einstein once said,

“The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.”

A new way of thinking is the only way we as individuals

And as collective humanity have managed to surpass the apes.

It’s simple, but it’s not always easy to make a change

So I’ve started a private Facebook group where likeminded

Individuals like yourself can discuss how we can further evolve

Although I doubt I’ll ever stop laughing at farts, I believe that

I can still have an intelligent discussion about how we can all

Start thinking differently.

If you would like to join that discussion, click below

P.S. I tried to have a serious conversation and ended up talking about farts.

Go figure…NE hoo, I would like you to consider what I said about our thinking

200 years ago, it wasn’t that long ago, yet in comparison to concepts now, they

Seem pretty barbaric. The point is that we will always learn and evolve, but

Unfortunately for some, it takes longer than others, then there are others who

Never evolve at all. The question is, what group are you in? Talk soon…

Your(e) History

Growing up, I always loved astronomy and cosmology

So I got to thinking…

One year is nothing compared to that of the history of the world

I’m not going to try to pretend I’m an astronomy professor here, but I think

I can break down our history of the universe in less than 500 words

In the beginning there was pretty much nothing going on

Like zilch<—scientific term

Then some atoms started mixing and gasses got hotter.

Started turning into stars

The stars got hot

Like uber hot <—also scientific term

So they started cranking out all kinds of complex atoms and molecules like the ones we see on Periodic Charts

Those come together and formed complex organisms like dinosaurs.

Then those dinosaurs became extinct because of a huge disaster

Well not really a disaster.

It’s actually because of that disaster that we eventually became to be.

What exactly is the point of this history lesson Jer-Bear?

The point is that throughout history everything evolves to become more complex

Until they can’t

Then they die.

Think about this for a sec…

The dinosaurs lived for a whooooooole lot longer than we have. (165 mill years to our 280,000 years so far…)

They were bigger, stronger, and could travel much further distances with less energy.

Then why did they die and we emerge in the ice age?

They never evolved their intelligence.

They just stayed big dumb, wastes of space

You see in life, just like in the beginning of time, there’s nothing

Emptiness and opportunity

You may experience what seems to be disaster at times, but know that according to history

The opportunity for new even more complex, outcomes becomes more probable.

WE are the future.

Collectively and individually

Evolve or die

That’s nature’s motto and it applies to every single one of us now.

It is your responsibility to educate yourself and allow yourself to be educated.

So what say you broseph?

Are you contributing to the cause?

How are you actively acquiring, sharing, and practicing knowledge?

It’s crunch time Bro Montana and if you are sitting there thinking that the good life

Is just gonna show up at your door,

Man I got news for you.

But you probably don’t want to hear it.

So I’ll save you the time

And just leave this right here for you to ponder

Evolve Here
