You’re at war right now. It may not feel like it, but you are in a constant battle every day to fight off the negativity around you while you try to stay on your path.

But what if I told you that the most powerful thing you can do is listen to the negativity around you?

Let’s talk about it for a second. I know you’re a smart person because you wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t. Negativity doesn’t always have to be harmful. It can actually be very helpful in certain cases.

Honestly, everyone wants to be liked. It’s fun to be liked and it’s fun to like other people but sometimes you end up in a position where you’ve got a bunch of people that think just like you and before you know it, you’ve found yourself surrounded by yes men.

When everyone agrees with you, you lose perspective on the real world.

Think about it, it’s impossible to know everything, so you need people around you that see the world differently than you.

There’s something I’d like you to consider today. Consider who you are being influenced by and who is giving you feedback?

You have the power to choose. But don’t choose to do it on your own. Consider choosing to go with honesty, integrity, and tact.

P.S. There is an old proverb that goes “make war with a multitude of counselors.” Whatever you do, find SOMEONE that can at least offer you some appropriate feedback (even if you don’t necessarily like it/them). It could literally change your life. Talk soon!
