I was flipping through channels at my parents house before I made my way back to Philly.
It’s fun for awhile
I mean the sheer volume of selection is almost overwhelming enough to make you want to try and watch something from every channel for a few minutes.
Which is exactly what I decided to do.
I ended up absolutely mesmerized by the strangest of things.
The station was called OSN which I thought might be a local sports network (turned out to stand for ocean state network)
Anywho, I saw something about the Olympics, but it actually turned out to be about the Special Olympics
No big deal, I’ll watch and see how the javelin goes :-p
So the unfortunate thing is that it cuts to this local community access channel interview.
The thing is that this interview was conducted my people with obvious disabilities, but sans the fancy equipment from the big productions.
It was actually something that really spoke to me.
It’s that you know, you may think you have it tough, but there is someone achieving their dream out there in spite of the obstacles they face.
The thing is that there isn’t just one someone, some dude that looks like you and has the same dreams and aspirations
There could be hundreds of thousands of someone’s that want to do exactly what you want to do.
The key is not to compete with them though.
Nope, that’s never gonna bring you happiness.
You have to be you and that is what is going to set you apart.
You see broseph, these people with disabilities are blessed in a way that we aren’t.
They don’t have the ability to outwardly hide what make them different.
The thing is they have nothing to hide so all they have is happiness.
What a gift right?
If only we could all do that.
Well, you can in my program.
In it, I teach you how to make fast decisions
Be happy with your decisions even if they didn’t have the desired effect
As well as many other life affirming activities.
You CAN enjoy life the same way the happiest people in the world can
