How To Do Everything Good…Er…Well

We all wanna do great things and when we do them, we want them to be perfect. Boy, do I get that. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people say that if they can’t do it, they won’t do it. It’s like everyone is afraid of failure or something.

Well, I get it. I understand, because I used to be so afraid of failure, that I wouldn’t even leave my house most of the time because I was afraid to put myself out there. It got even worse as I gained weight because I didn’t leave the house and people started to make even more fun of me because of my weight, which caused me to want to stay inside even more.

But I digress…

You don’t have to be afraid of failure anymore because I’ve got the solution to automatically cut your “to-do list” at least in half.

What’s Your Motivation?

First off, you have to be motivated by either pain or pleasure. Either the pain of not doing something, or the pain of continuing to do something, or whatever. You have to recognize what’s giving you pain and how you can move closer to pleasure. As I said, many people tend to get overwhelmed with to-do lists, so let’s say that what brings you pain is the actual amount of things on your list and what gives you pleasure, is what you are trying to work toward.

So what you have to do, instead of having this list. Break it up into chunks so it’s not so, intimidating. What you also want to do is constantly think about the final outcome. Sure it may be a little intimidating to join a gym. You’ve gotta buy workout clothes, shoes, maybe even a water bottle. Then you’ve gotta find a gym and…the list can go on and on and before you know it, you’ve overwhelmed yourself right back to the couch. Instead think about the fact that you want to lose weight (what you want) and that you’re doing it because you want to be in peak condition, not to mention, you want to set a good example for your family and be alive for your children’s, younger sibling’s, close relatives as they get older (why you want it).

Once you start telling yourself that you are trying to get into peak physical condition and attach some real emotion to what you trying to achieve, you’ll see that the only step now simply becomes you working out and maybe that will even lead you to eat right and further on down the road to success in creating an overall healthy lifestyle.

Achieving your dreams isn’t hard, it all really boils down to you changing your language so that you have a “what,” a strong “why,” and a few “hows.” Once you give it a few tries (you’re not gonna get it right at first), you’ll find a pattern of effectiveness that works specifically for you. You’ll also find that together, each step will come together and you’ll be ultra effective at getting as much good as you want for yourself at virtually any time.

P.S. I can’t emphasize enough, the importance of having a strong “why.” It’s literally the backbone of any endeavor. If you don’t have enough desire, or you have created the language that will properly motivate you, then you don’t stand a chance of successfully following your “how” all the way through…Talk soon!
