Discipline or Disaster?

People sometimes say things cost too much. That the government taxes us too much. At times, people even say that what’s provided for us isn’t enough to live a happy and healthy life. That’s likely true in some other countries besides America, but I have to tell you Kebrosabe, if you live in the U.S.A that is most certainly not the case.

People are risking their lives to come over by boat. They’re smuggling people in through the borders and of course, there are people that are saving their money so that one day they can afford to make a better life when they move to the good ole U.S. of A.

You don’t exactly hear of people working as hard to get out though, right?

So how is it that so many immigrants are coming in and succeeding meanwhile, the people that are here, complain about how much the system is trying to stop them from pursuing happiness? Well, I’ll answer that with a question. Is there anything actually stopping you???

I don’t want to go into personal situations. I’m sure you have what you imagine to be a perfectly legitimate reason for believing that your path to success is especially difficult. However, what I’d have you consider today is the following. We are all offered pretty much the same resources. Being born in America, parents that fed us, education, and of course, time. So we all have the same seeds (more or less) to create the same success as the next guy. The difference, however, is what you do with those seeds. What do you believe about your seeds and how do YOU make them grow?

Answer: Your philosophy

What Are You Thinking?

Your philosophy is what determines what you do with the seeds you were given. If you plant them so that they will grow, you will find that you’ll have more knowledge and discipline to be as successful as you want to be. Notice that I said discipline there.

Discipline is knowing that there are things that you can’t change while at the same time, believing in controlling what you can. If you plant a seed, you can’t get upset if there’s no rain because you can always water it. If there’s too much sun, you can provide it with shade.

Your dreams are like a seed. You can control what happens to it with discipline. In fact, you can start today. You SHOULD start today. You can start by first asking yourself these 2 simple questions:

What is it that I’m not doing? What is something easy that would change my health, wealth, relationships, and thus my overall fulfillment in life?

Simple things like walking around the block or eating an apple are easy to do every day, but they are just as well NOT easy to do. Every situation is different so I don’t have all the answers for you. But what I can tell you is that sometimes the answers don’t come to you right away. Sometimes, it’s best if you ask other people in the garden how they got their seeds to grow.

P.S. It’s important that you ask others that may already have the answers. In other words, surround yourself with success because the worst thing you can do is repeatedly make small unnoticeable mistakes until one day you wake up to disaster…Talk soon!
